Opera has launched new update for the new Opera 10 called Opera Turbo. (blog link)

A server-side optimization and compression technology that provides significant improvements in browsing speeds over limited-bandwidth connections by compressing network traffic.

This can be very useful for limited bandwidth especially in Indonesia One of the techniques is to lower the image resolution, here are the examples from my blog:
Header image – Turbo feature disabled:

Header image – Turbo feature enabled:

Footer image – Turbo feature disabled:
Footer image uncompressed
Footer image – Turbo feature enabled:
Footer image compressed
But the image compression isn’t applied when the image is in main content. Well I think this is a good strategy.
