Image Rendering when Enable Opera Turbo Feature

Opera has launched new update for the new Opera 10 called Opera Turbo. (blog link)

A server-side optimization and compression technology that provides significant improvements in browsing speeds over limited-bandwidth connections by compressing network traffic.

This can be very useful for limited bandwidth especially in Indonesia :) One of the techniques is to lower the image resolution, here are the examples from my blog:
Header image – Turbo feature disabled:
Header image uncompressed
Header image – Turbo feature enabled:
Header image compressed
Footer image – Turbo feature disabled:
Footer image uncompressed
Footer image – Turbo feature enabled:
Footer image compressed
But the image compression isn’t applied when the image is in main content. Well I think this is a good strategy.
