White Background on Image

When we inserting image, except png or gif with transparency background, that has color background, to PowerPoint sometimes it will make bad-looking presentation. We see the white-color background in the logo can ruin out the presentation design. So how do we erase the white color from the image directly in the office?

The Solution

Here the steps:

  1. Select the image.
  2. In Format tab, choose Recolor then Set Transparent Color
    Set Transparent Color
  3. Choose the color you want to erase. For this logo click on white-color area.
  4. Here is the result:

FYI: This step also can be used in Microsoft Word. For older version Office it also can be done but in different ways, just search in Office Help “Set Transparent Color”.

    Thanks so much for this. I couldn’t get the transparency to work but yours was the only site I saw to say that it didn’t work with .gif images. Once I made them .tif, all worked perfectly.

    If u make a .gif image make sure to delete the background color that doesn’t needed.
