Tutorial CorelDRAW: Export Object with Transparent Background

January 24th, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

The case:

I’ve create objects with CorelDRAW like this:
Preview Objects in CorelDRAW
see closely the white line in the text.

And then I want to edit those objects in another image editor, such as Photoshop, so it become like this:
Final Preview

The Steps:

  1. Select objects -> File -> Export. Select Save as type: PNG, click Export.

    Export Window
Don’t forget to check Selected only.

  2. Determine the size in the next window, don’t forget to check Transparent background, click OK.
    Convert to Bitmap Window
  3. Select the Masked Area option, click OK. Leave the Color Table to black.

    PNG Export Window

I prefer to use PNG format since it give the best quality than GIF format. If you want to use GIF format, it’s better to use PNG from CorelDRAW and then edit it in Photoshop and export the image to GIF.

I thought Corel had has the special menu for background handling,so if you wanna your image with its transparant background when exported it, simply go to Tools > Options > Document > Page > Background. Choose either a solid color or bitmap image that is similar to the background that the GIF will be placed onto. Be sure “Print and Export Background” is checked and click OK, so by this way i think you needn’t edit it in photoshop.
this is my current way to handle the transparant background for may images.

coba feather sisi object-nya, beri mask, save sebagai PNG.. letakkan hasil save tersebut di atas gambar/warna lain (entah itu di CorelDRAW ato di CorelPP), we’ll get the haze.. how to solve that..?
